The luxurious and natural nail care and color line LONDONTOWN joined fashion designer Maki Oh to create a Fiercely Feminine Nail look for theSpring/Summer 2014 Collection.
Complementing Maki Oh's vision of a woman transitioning from the traditionally feminine role to independence, LONDONTOWN created a nail look to show a woman's strength and ingenuity while maintaining her femininity. The result, strong feminine shapes, with bold colors and graphic designs.
Using four lakur colors, LONDONTOWN created two distinct runway looks. First, a twist on a classic French manicure. Classics never go out of style, and an interpretation with acute angles, a deep and sultry red, and an accented ring finger with a black tip, gives the look chic elegance with a strong edge. To create the design LONDONTOWN started with a clean neutral base and met it with an unyielding oxblood red.
For the second look, LONDONTOWN added a modern, sharp twist. LONDONTOWN lakur was used to transport the hand indigo-dyed prints from the collection onto the nails, giving the classic woman a modern edge.
Colors were extremely important to portray the feelings and LONDONTOWN's staple natural nude ("Teatime"), oxblood red ("Guarded Jewel"), fierce black ("Chim Cher-ee") and porcelain white ("Chelsea Porcelain") were all designed to accessorize the season's hottest looks.
Guarded Jewel: Protected in the Tower of London, the crown jewels are an essence of British culture that merits guarding
Teatime: Afternoon tea is always a comforting time to look forward to during the hectic day
Chim Cher-ee: Up until now, Bert was the only sought-after chimney sweep in London
Chelsea Porcelain: England's most distinguished fine porcelain crafters, held with great esteem and sought after by British nobility
